An Evening in the Village will be held Sunday, December 4th from 4:30-7pm in Historic Downtown Hartville. The annual Christmas event includes wagon rides, children's crafts and activities, live music, open houses at downtown shops, visits with Santa, and a little holiday magic.
Cheer is in abundance at an event that seems to be right out of a favorite Christmas movie. The evening begins with Santa's arrival by fire truck and tree lighting in the square. As in years past, the tree will be designated a Remembrance Tree and memory ornaments can be made and added at the event.
Sounds of the season are heard from local choirs and by carolers as they ride through town on wagons. The evening tastes a little like Christmas too. Open houses at downtown shops mean soup, cookies, cider, and cocoa are ready for sipping and snacking and the annual cookie contest brings out bakers of all ages.
Attendees can also bid on silent auction baskets and trees to benefit Pegasus Farm’s Military Family Center, a local non-profit that provides support and connection for veterans, active military, first responders, and their families.
