Hartville, OH — Hartville Nutrition, a self-described social club which serves shakes and specialty teas, hosted its official ribbon-cutting ceremony held jointly with the Lake Township Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
The business focuses on providing healthy full meal replacement shakes, energizing teas, and pre- & post-workout options. The storefront is located at 899 W. Maple Street in Hartville inside the Hartville Centre shopping center. Owner, Josie Bourquin, decided in 2020 that she wanted to focus her attention on opening a location similar to the one she frequented in North Canton. She spent a year learning the process and business principles of Herbalife and then scouted locations extensively before deciding on the location in Hartville. Inside you’ll find brightly lit, positive messaging with plenty of open space and seating, where customers can relax, enjoy conversation and drink shakes and tea.
The business model is slightly different than most health food businesses. Customers are asked to answer some brief questions about flavor preferences before they order a shake and energy drink combination. The price of a shake includes an energy drink along with a protein shake. Each shake contains 21 essential vitamins and minerals, 24 grams of protein and can be customized with boosters such as Beauty Booster Collagen, Probiotic, and Liftoff. Muscle Rebuild contains 33 grams of protein. Herbalife products are the basis for the business platform and products. Customers can pre-order by messaging Hartville Nutrition on Instagram @hartvillenutrition.
Future plans for this location include holding fitness classes like cardio and yoga.
Bourquin has been married to her husband Ray for 34 years and they have three daughters and nine grandchildren, some of whom help at the store!
